Není častým jevem, aby firma produkující hardware ( konkrétně fotoaparáty ) nabízela vlastní kvalitní software a ještě k tomu zdarma. Takovou výjimkou je firma SONY, nabízející k volnému stažení program Image Data Converter ( Vystaveno 22.4.2014 ). Jde o program , sloužící k prohlížení a editování obrázků've formátu RAW ( v omezené míře slouží i formátu JPEG.
